Conclusion

Despite the limitations that we had, our group found that in regards to storing photos, the use of the computer hard drive is more popular than photo storage websites or online social networks. These findings are important because it gives the creators of these online networks and online photo storage sites insight into preferences from a younger generation.

Since our study shows that most of our subjects prefer not to use them, the creators can retool their sites to become more attractive to more people for storage of their photos. Our study can be expanded by surveying more students from DePaul University, and taking samples from each college. Some of the questions we have that are unanswered include why the students chose the answers they did. This can be solved by future researchers and experimentalists by augmenting the survey to include text boxes so the survey taker can provide reasons for his/her preference.
